Yes it is a female. It's very easy to tell when they were all togather. She's a super mean one too. She whooped my zebrina girl almost to death

Your male will get real nasty if you add a girl trust me . I keep single sexes for a reason. I had a pair of super large lenticulata pikes and the male was so territorial of the female he bit a 18" stingray on the stinger lol

I take it mine is a female then, with the nice white in the dorsal. I have another female crenicichla sp. Tapajos red, the atabapo has bullied her into hiding whole time, but last few days the tapajos has been coming out a lot and not getting harassed too much, but the atabapo definitely runs the tank. Due to them being the two different species will they never survive in same tank? They are in a 150 now planing for a 300. Can female lugubris get along?
