Fish Island
has anyones tiger fish ever stay in a tank with other fishes and were fine and then maybe a month or longer later ever just go beserk and start killing fishes?

from everything i've read on here and in books, that doesnt seem abnormal for them.

well as long as his tank mates arent smaller and there isnt many of them. if you have like a atf with like 6 bala sharks that are same size or bigger or fish like that then you should ne fine, how did you have it set up, like how big was the tank, what kind of tank mates did he have and how big where they?

right now its a really crowded grow out tank. i have a jardini (bigger) datnoid(same size) 4 bala sharks( some bigger some smaller) and 3 tinfoil barbs(bigger) i dont really mind the tinfoils and bala sharks getting eatin but i dont want the jardini and datnoid to be harmed.
and these fishes all range from 2-4 inches all in a 60 gallon.
it seems fine right now but it keeps following the jardini around

Well, you don't have to worry about the Jardini getting beaten up by an ATF, they are pretty tough customers that can handle their own. I would be more concerned about the Jardini outgrowing and killing or eating the ATF. As for the Datnoid, they can handle their own too, but grow slow at about the same rate as the ATF.

I noticed you stated that they are in a 60g grow out tank, how big are you going to upgrade to, or are you going to sell once they reach a certain size?

My ATF is doing the same thing. For over a month my ATF was being bullied to my embarassment by 2 large danios an inch smaller. Well my ATF matured a tiny bit and realized what teeth and speed he posseses, now he constantly flicks at the danios taking scales off here and there. Made me damn proud.
