I am new to tiger fish however, I do want to attempt to grow one out. I am currently looking at getting a

Forskahli Tigerfish (5”)

And would like to know what would be safe to keep with it. More particularly can I keep it in a 75 with a couple bichirs while it grows out. I am a little worried about the bichirs and gar that I have in that tank trying to chase the tiger fish, but I am also worried about it taking chunks out of my other fish. Any suggestions or information is greatly appreciated as well with any additional advice.

I've a FATF that I've had about 8 months now. Its about 10-11" and I got it at about 7" I think.
Lives with 3 similar sized gar I have been growing out and a royal knife and Payara also growing out. No issues whatsoever with it biting chunks out of anything nor did my bigger older Vittatus do that when in my bigger mixed predator tank. I find ATF to be very active and tend to avoid everything else

I would have no issues with keeping gar and bichirs with it as long as they are not so big as to class it as prey as both I have found to be very predatory when it comes to smaller fish

That’s the thing as of right now they are around a foot and larger in size with the gar being the largest thing in there. Would he be fine with tarpon, and an arowana?

The only thing stopping me putting mine in my big tank is my 20" arowana cos he is a knob for attacking new fish particularly anything silver

But he should be fine with the tarpon and the marijuana because they’re all around the same size?
