Just wondering about these guys, I kno they need a big tank, and there sizes but are the perticularly fast growers? im not asking because id want to keep them in a smaller tank, I would sjut want to make sure if there in with other fish how fast they seem to grow to make sure their tankmates dont outgrow or undergrow them and becoem food haha. most likily and thinking if H vittatus. also if u get thme young is it hard to get them on dead foods? also how much are these guys generaly running for price range? thanks!

they grow...very very slow.

Like my good friend channa has said, mega slow growers, had mine around 8 months now, got him around 5" and hes now maybe 6-7" although he is chunkier. Mines been feeding on Frozen feed and meaty food such as earthworm, mussle, prawn etc... pretty much from day one. didnt take him long to settle in.

mines grew 2 inches in maybe 3-4 months. i think it really depends on the appetite. ive had ones be4 that barely grew. but this one that i had seems to be growing faster then usual
