Unfortunately, no. When you do the light trick, have the light at a 45* oblique angle to the fish, preferably from the head of the fish. If you're going straight in, there's tons of distortion.

If you can, ALSO have your phone's flash on, but with the phone smashed right up against the glass. The reason your pics aren't clear is because the shutter speed is slow, which is causing high ISO and unclear images.

Long story short, you need more light to make your pics clear.

Pics of these guys is hard no matter what you do, even with pro level stuff.

It also doesn't help that my tank is etched and a little cloudy patched mostly through

C Chicxulub broke out the better camera today and cranked the shutter speed and i think that these look way better.

Here is my last attempt to id him! lol there are two videos and a few pics..hopefully this is enough. Several people have said Fatf to me.. and if it is a fatf..is this one suppose to be a very large one? This ATF is finally holding it's own ground against the VATFs, it actually fights back and tries to cruise in the Alpha VATF's area..
