I am absolutely positive that these are vittatus, and I'm absolutely positive on my diagnostic traits for Goliath.
Mixing tigerfish is ALWAYS a gamble. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The only way to know for sure is to try! Just make sure you have a way to get the smaller fish out.
Tips to help you succeed:
1- Dither fish! Absolutely essential! I like tinfoil barbs. They teach the tigers to eat pellets. They look like the tigers so they school together. They're extremely hardy so they can handle the beating they'll take.
2- Feeding pellets. I've noticed that once an ATF is firmly onto pellets, their aggression tends to really slack off. Especially if they're broken young. In fact, once they're on pellets, you have to starve them back ON to live! lol
3- A buttload of current. Remember, these are whitewater fish. A strong current will help these fish to stay calm and a calm fish will be less likely to fight.
4- Grow out the little one. If they're close in size, a squabble is vastly less likely to end up with the smaller fish being stuck to a filter intake and missing the back 1/3rd of its body.
