How bad do you think he would get picked on I have a 180 how much flow should I have on there and my ph is around 7.6 what should I run it at I have 2 kinda big pieces of drift wood in there would that make it better for the vatf

I recommend taking your tank's gallons and multiply it by 50 to get your ideal flow rate. For you, that would be 9,000 gph. For example, I am running 8,850 gph in my 150 and the fish absolutely love it.

Its hard to say how bad it would be picked on. Before I sold my TATF, I put him in the big tank for a while to see how he would be and because I thought he was big enough to go in at 5.25 inches. Turns out that my other fish were bigger than I thought and the GATF was literally twice his length and about four times the girth. The GATF shoaled peacefully with the TATF and never bothered him. The reason I moved the TATF back to the growout is because the scomb and juruense catfish were making it quite clear they considered the TATF to be food. The GATF was calm enough that I would have felt find leaving him in there if not for the other two.

Its really a crap shoot. Try some dithers first if you haven't yet, see how the GATF does with them. If you do get the VATF and the GATF decides to give it trouble, move him to a growout tank, powerfeed him while lowering the temp in the big tank and cut back on the feeding of the GATF. Getting a 4" fish to 6" should only take about a month and a half if you have him eating pellets well.

Having tigers cohabitate is always a crap shoot and the only way to do it is to bet with your wallet, unfortunately.

Okay thank you i have 2 tin foilbarbs a hydro gar and a flag tail and a it datnoid I will have to get more power heads should I have all the power heads on one side or should I have the pointed in all directions? I want to get a vatf I will have to try it
