I started out with 17 when they were about 2-3" . They are about 5+" now =-)
Before I got rid of my bigger fish's I had them in my 100 gal sump. 3 were killed in the sump because they were overcrowded. They were constantly fighting.
Then when I finally got rid of my bigger fish's I threw them in my main tank. I lost 2 to a Payara and an Odoe Pike =-(
Got rid of the pike and the payara. The payara is in my sump now. ATF's aren't bad ass's till they are about a foot long. Till then they are fair game for bigger and more agressive fish's.
They are currently filling out nicely and bulking up. These guys go through 500 Fatheads a week =-) My 600 gallon tank looks like a hugh feeder tank..hahaha
I'll take a picture of the next feeding.
