Been almost 2 weeks since I got him, since then he's put on some weight and i've noticed all his fins are starting to curve backwards. They are also getting a lot of black pigmentation in them. His current diet is rosy reds and he goes through 20-30 in a week! I m not sure if I want to take him off of live feeders at the moment or wait until I put him in a 125. Cant wait till he grows a little more so I can figure out what species he is. Feel free to comment and share pics of your ATF

Imo it's best to get them off of live asap. The bigger they get, the harder it will be.

He could still go either way on species. I'm leaning toward brevis, but that is just gut instinct; there's nothing diagnostic visible which would support that supposition.

I'm looking forward to watching him grow.

Protip: if you keep updating this thread instead of making a new one for each batch of pics, your previous subscribers will see it and you'll have a better reach.

Thanks chicxulub, always look forward to your input on things weather it's my post or someone else's, I will continue updating on this post. I was thinking about switching off live food by introducing a few top feeders but I noticed he likes to go for the silver rosys for some strange reason. He eats those first then sometimes just injures the others and watch them die. I'm a little hesitant because I read brevis dont take to other fish much and i've been eyeing some orino peacock bass from aquaescape

Lol yea that was me, couldn't pass up on it. He had been there for a while in the back inside of a little holding tank. I just asked out of curiosity because they usually go for $150 or more. Small monster fish world. Did u pick up one of the larger tigers when you visited?

Yes I did I got three of them their water quality is sooooo poor. Their ammonia was 8 ppm and ph was 6 lol. The medium nnt didn't look like they were eating good at all so I got three of larger ones for $100 a piece.

Yea they have so many tanks in there and most of the fish come from south America so most of the tanks ph is around 6.0, I hope your still looking for a ATF because there pretty cool. I know aquaescape has some and a few vendors on here gets them in.

Ya I am going to get one but I just want to get my tank settled and stable for a little. I have been riding a little roller coaster here the past couple weeks with a mini cycle and the new rays and treating the dats for parasites so I just want to let things settle down for a little while.
