According to some growth & long term research studies conducted by various universities on the Atlantic Sharpnose - they may not reach their full maximum size until they are at least 7-8 years old.

Also there's a recent report that suggests that they may live to be 12-15 years old. An Atlantic Sharpnose was recaught after being tagged nearrly 11 years earlier.
 
wow well i think his will live thier full life span wich is getting increasingly rarer due to people trying to keep sharks.
 
Well - it's at least a very real possibility. Usually if the shark has already lived 5 years in captivity - then chances are pretty good it could live another 5 years or more. Unless there's some unforseen complications.
