Check that out.

I say sell the tank and fish and thats a 100% way to get rid of the ich issue you're having.
And give it to another unknowing person...

I dont beleive in using meds honestly. Salt and good water take care of the most of it. Proper temps are really important too. Cold water is much more prone to ich. Also if the fish are stressed from being packed together they wont be able to fight of the ich as well...

Aro and Dovii are too big for sure... Rest maybe but not all together. They are fine for now im sure but later... Sorry for jumping on that topic (seems to happen all the time, and its annoying) but just wanted to tell you that :)

Who said unknowing? You sell it as ich or give rid of it as ich.

The point where I was going every thread this guy makes gets cancelled out. Numerous people have called him out as being a 17 year old kid and hes building a house and hes a CEO. He has millions but a 75 gallon tank? Many think hes trolling and I think so as well.

Quote from his other thread " a 75G tank with a Dovii, GT, 3 convicts, 2 oscars, 2 jags, red devil, pike cichlid, texas cichlid, arowana, clown knife fish, black ghost knife fish, royal pleco, gold nugget pleco, a species of Syno cat, fire eel, and clown loach"

So let me get this straight, cuz I do remember now.....all thsese people told him he was going to have problems and now he's having problems. Imagine that.

I got $50 that says the Ick came from high-stress levels leading to low immune system from having too many fish in the same tank with not enough safe-places and whatever nightmares he created for those poor fish in that tank.

Logi is new still, he's doesn't quite get your sense of humor and sarcasm yet.

I guess not..?

Stanzzzz, I'm glad you pointed this stuff out, and I admit to not paying enough attention, and to not addressing much other than the 1st question.
But now looking, I believe this is the classic example of what not to do, and this thread should be looked at by all new aquarists.
This is typical result of improper stocking.
I believe all the fish in that 75 gal tank are wrong (OK maybe not the clown loach, and plecos, but), all the others are too big, and what happened with this illness is what should have been expected.
In my rules for myself, nothing over 7.5" as an adult, belongs in a 75, not an oscar, not a jag, and obviously not a dovii or arowana.

Wow. Yeah I didn't put all this together either. I rarely look at who posted just read the comments. My 75g is technically overstocked for life but no fish is over 6 inches right now. And there's a 180g sitting on my patio waiting to get set up for my dovii... 125g to put the guys in the 75g in... and I'm 1500$ into saving for a 220g. I also live in a tiny ass apartment. I rehomed over 20 fish because I knew I wouldn't have the room. Proper planning is key.

.....and then you consider that Knifefish and cichlids don't mix, combined w/ BGKs and Clowns are really compatible according to many people.....

To me, this is just pure cruelty.
I agree with duanes that 7 to 8 inches is maximum size for a fish living in a 75. Any thing any bigger would become to cramped.
This guy won't learn anything.Putting all those poor fish in that tank is not an error,or a beginner mistake,it's mean selfish cruelty and he should be banned from keeping animals,he obviously has no feelings or compassion for them.
I would forget about the ich,it's your ownership that is the biggest health risk to the health of these poor doomed animals.
