The mayor went out of his way and spent most of the time talking up the fact that what happened has nothing to do with islam blah blah but if i recall no one said that islam was responsible for the shooters actions except the shooter himself.

Any religion can be twisted and radicalized but it doesnt change the fact that he stated what his motives were.
Some of these politicians wont even utter the phrase radical islam.... if it were radical Christianity i wouldnt be offended in the least bit because i wouldnt support those views

Imo the major and others like him were more concerned with PC damage control onstead of the actual problem.

Last year during the Ebola "scare/crisis" the news media was asked not to report anything unless it was a confirmed case instead of any suspected travelers. I've wondered if some high ranking officials are being instructed to speak the way their speaking about Muslims. The Cali terrorist shooting a few months ago was the first time in awhile id seen the police chief say this looks like terrorism...and then the fbi came right out and called it a terrorist attack in their first big press conference. I remember that police chief looked defiant when he was calling it terrorism. Just how I read his body language and how he emphasized certain words

Agreed,if Kenney felt that way it would have went over much better had he gone over everything that was known at the time about the officer's condition before launching into his spiel.

I remember that too (ebola) how idiotic did it sound "dont report anytjing unless its confirmed" but how do you confirm something ?....WITH OUT SUSPICIONS!

i do beleive theses mayors or lower level politicians are taking cues from someone hire up. Its to the point where they want/need us to have the opinions they want us to have instead of drawing conclusions on pur own.
