For that fish in that tank, you better have a VERY good filter, high flow, and another tank ready for when it outgrows that tank in a month. These fish stunt pretty easily actually, and should be in far larger tanks from the beginning.

i know i have a 20 gal filter on it and im about to get my 100 up and running so hhe can go in there

Just curious---what did you do to fix the leaks in the 100 gal??
You'll do well with 2 canister filters, considering the bigger the plec, the bigger and MORE poop!!!!!!
