My son is 5 and:

Feeds the fish in the morning and at night.
Help with water changes.
Scrubs algae.
Flushes dead fish.
Puts water in the test vials.
Puts water conditioner in the bucket.

It's been hard to trach him how to do all these things correctly, but it really pays off. My 6 month old daughter is buddies with my RD.:D

i wish my big bro was a small kid then maybe he could help with ma tanks never mind ill just have to keep feeding and cleaning his tank

My kids are 3 and 5. They always want to see what I'm doing. They will tell anybody who listens that "Daddy likes fish TOO much."

We have had fish in the house on & off for 10~11 years (I, had them before I got married as well)

My 9yo son has a betta, that I take care of, or else he will die.

My 11yo daughter cares for the babies, the fry tank is in her room. she loves all babies & is a natural nurturer. I know they are in good hands.

My 13yo daughter is not so much into fish, but I have 'hooked' a few of her friends & helped them get started. Her tank is now in the livingroom (den/computer room) so I can keep an eye on them. plus 2 of the fish in there are mine & 2 are her sisters. She is a big snail/crab/lizard buff, but currenty has none.

Since there are so many juvi-fish in the house I am always willing to give them to the kids friends, the friends kids, or the friends if they want them. I am always willing to help them make good decisions. Now that I found MFK I have started telling them about it as well.
