Attention Smart Phone Users

If you have a data package, you can easily use your phone as a modem for your laptop. I just installed the trial of PDAnet and it's amazingly fast. I think I'll be buying it instead of spending the money on an air card. It's a hell of a lot cheaper!!

It pulls off of the data package. It's no different than using the internet on the phone itself.

Just looked into it a bit more. If you're a very heavy user they'll cut you off, but if you don't have the data plan you'll get screwed. From what I've read people with the data plan aren't having issues.

I think you are thinking of the guy who used his IPhone in Europe and got a ton of charges.

i use an iphone, and have the unlimited data plan. even without a laptop they called me n asked why i had such a high data usage lol. i told them i use an iphone, and pay for unlimited data use, so i use as much as i can since its paid for.

ill be trying this out for sure. heavy searching on the iphone's web browser gets annoying. thanks for the heads up!

guess iphone isn't smart enough of a phone lol. its for windows mobile phones only?

iphone is lame its made of glass and what do people do with cellphone? they drop them then they crack... i got the N95!! just wish it had a full qwert keyboard other then that its sweet watch you tube and everything all the time

i do this all the time with my cingular 8525.... only thing i like better about the card is no wire

I think u are charged according to the ammount of kb's u use... Thats what they said here..when i asked for internet services for my PDA...
