Came home from work too find that both blochii's have torn bloody fins! I suspect it's the work of the synodontis eupertus cause now it's in the cave and the 2 blochii's are on opposite sides of the tank. They're not swimming around like the first couple of days.
Unless you catch your featherfin red handed, I'd doubt this a bit. At the face value of the info given, I'd guess the two blochii are figuring out the pecking order. 2 is generally a bad number.

Lol maybe I was just not paying attention, I'll keep an eye out next time; I'm in Scotland though, so don't know if its something we'd get commonly
Oops, sorry. I didn't look where you were. IDK about Scotland but these catfish are a staple carried by each and every chain LFS in the US. It's not unlike a goldfish of the catfish.

That is a big one. Planetcatfish lists them maxing out at 9.8 but mine is 11 or 12" so that must be average adult size. I really like them
PCF lists SL = standard length which excludes the caudal fin. Mine was ~14" TL = total length = with the caudal fin, so not too far off the PCF max, perhaps by 1" to 1.5".

Besides, Pimelodus is a large genus with lots of similar-looking fish and much taxonomy work remains to be done for this genus. Moreover, there appears to be notable variability in appearance. Lastly, I've encountered the words "blochii-type" used by experts, which may indicate that there is a lack of definitive IDs.

Thus, mine could have simply been not "quite" blochii or the blochii is under-defined yet.

Yeah I guess it's not right to blame the syno when I didn't see it. But anyways I moved it to a smaller tank and it seems like the Raphael's and the blochii's are out swimming around.

Raphs swimming around? You must have one in a million, outgoing raphs :) They are nocturnal and maniacal diurnal hiders.

Same here with the spotted ones. Have 4 around 3" and the last time I saw them was when I put them in the tank the first time.
