ATTN mechanics! help!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sounds to me like it's the relay. Like stated before it's unlikely that both fans died at the same time. The other option could be the coolant temp. sensor but since it wont even come on when you turn the AC on I'm betting it's the relay. A lot of the time you can find a multiple relays (like one for the wipers) that are the same and you can swap them out to see if the problem follows the relay.

today i spun the ac fan and it started to spin at about half speed while the car was at idle. I still haven't been able to check the motor cuz i had some things come up.

your avatar kicks ass. my bet would be on the relay, too. you can check for power w/ a simple probe...just poke it through the insulation and ground the alligator clip. i'm a little drunk, so i can't remember the name, lol

long story short, the motors died on both fans so we installed a universal fan with its own fuse and thermostat. thanks for all the help and suggestions

good to hear you figured it out :D

you can use saran wrap for cover up the intake and to cover the fans. since they will hold the heat in it will cool it off eventually
