The thing is this, I see this site being a big family of online and real deal friends with some offline as well, not a place like you tube to just hide out and talk smack.

Keep it a site that we all respect each other, small fights here and their, but still respect, whatever, thats why I stay, if not you gotta put people on your ignore list. Or start giving more infractions.

ya ur right, i think 99.9% of ppl here are much of the same mind,as most are fishkeepers and pet lovers,and the only reason most join mfc is to share and learn,you are always gona get the odd few nuty ppl join from time to time[mostly from the us ] but thats just the way of the world,way i see it,is the way the main topics are sticky or locked is great,,

I've noticed the same thing. If I see a thread that I don't have anything to contribute to I just find another one. It's easier to say nothing than stir up controversy. I prefer not to make enemies.

Make enemies with your opinion? I usually give a crap what others think about my opinion. And i certainly would not hold my opinion back to make someone happy. This is an online community. People here share their opinions about alot of things. If you don´t like that you should join a community in communist china.

yea it's rude and doesn't add to or help the topic, but at the same time, it's a public forum for public discussion. i think they have the right to say what they want within the guidelines.

You are missing the point...again. It is fine to have an opinion that differs from someone else's, however, stating that opinion in a rude manor to try and "prove" a point is uncalled for. This is what the difference between how things used to be and how they are now. People say things WITH the intention of "stirring the pot", if you get my drift.
