mate, I have knoe idea about computers so please don't use abbrev. I only know how to use the internet, thats all i've ever needed.

are you using windows or mac.

if you are using windows xp then go to start >control pannel >second last tab will be WINDOWS FIREWALL dubble click on it and see if your windows firewall is turned on or if it is off.

if you are using an external firewall you might need to open a port on it, but for home use i don't think that you will be using this.

if you are in the firewall setting and it is turned on just click on the OFF tab and click ok and try your msn again.
