Yeah Boost yours looks killer. Bet it has alot to do with having it off of live food. Im an advocate of varied diet = healthier more colorful fish. Those shots help my theory!

lol no varied diet here, i feed him only rosies until he took krill, vitamin enhanced krill, and that is all that i have been feeding him up until now. i think my water change schedule has alot to do with his development and coloration.. i would like to get him onto pellets soon. i was able to make him take and hold down one.. he will grab them every time.. sending to the back of his throat (the crushers, for all of you that fish and know what these are) chomp on them for a while, hold on to the pellet and then eventually spit it out.. if i starve him, i am sure that i would get him to take them but with the way his colors have been looking i don't want him to fade from starvation .. possibly soon i am going to start to vary his diet.. im looking for a female kelberi.. when this guy is a bit bigger i am going to vent him again, but i am pretty sure he is a male.

i guess im just going to have to wait that part out, and hopeful someone will sell me theirs :D

whats the ideal temp for these fish? is 82 degrees good?

I think its diet is more varied than alot of our Kelberi. That vitamin enriched krill will boost the hell out of colors. As far as females go, I think that mine may be a female. At this size its tuff to tell but I got a good look at mine the other day and one vent is quite a bit larger than the other, suggesting female.

On a side note, i did get mine to "bite" a small frozen silverside today, but it spit it. Maybe after a 2-3 day starve it will keep one down. Gonna try it.
