ATTN: Post your Peacock Bass pix here

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
me and jon have been going to the lake behind our house to catch feeders for the bass,
not sure what kind of feeders they are, but they are eating them... some of them seem too big for them though. but later today well go catch some more maybe.

Also, we went to pet supermarket today and i bought alittle baby jack dempsey, lol it was only 2 bucks . do you think the bass will have a problem with it? the jack dempsey seems big enough not to have any problems.

I don't have experience with Jack Dempsey and PB in the same tank. Just watch them and split them up if any gets hurt.

Here's a few of my guys, bought them in march 1st and 2nd pics at about 2-2.5" here they are now at about 7-7.5" I'd say. Looking to pick up a few temensis and 2 lower amazonas soon also so stay tuned for pics ~Trent

Here are some adults of the same species--very different looking compared to other "temensis-type" Cichla. I think the member "Peacock Bass" here will recognize these.

Enjoy :)

PS--the bottom pic is a Xingu Serrasalmus rhombeus. That was my first-ever pirambeba!!
