How about some nice big Irredesant Sharks with a few large Tri color Sharks!!!

blood parrots dont get very big but would be ok for a while
if you want a really big monster in your tank that looks cool and is agressive
i would recomend getting a pacu , or a tsn would be a cool tank mate

Depending on the size of your poly I would try some clown loaches too. They are the best fish ever and very attractive as well

Also is the green terror a bad idea? From what I heard they are not the most aggressive cichlid out there, but then again I know they can hold there own.

With the green terror most people would probably lean towards not a good idea. It all depends really as they all have different personalitys. Also another more peaceful cichlid you could try would be a Geophagus steindachneri or most other geophagus sp. Koji mentioned all of my other idea's .
