My giraffe cat will eat anywhere from 12-20 pellets every other day. I feed with lights on. He's just as active with lights on as he is with the lights off. Try feeding during the daytime and watch how he eats. Once mine is full, he will start throwing them out threw his gills.

I have had mine about 6 months. He has only grown about 2 inches in that time. I thought he would shoot right up there. He is about 8" on a diet of 90% pellets. Man, he will go to town knocking 2 ft polys out of the way to get at food.

What's size has your Volta giraffe attained?

Have mine for a few mths already as well, superb eater and would push its tankmates, other catfishes and a bichir out of their way to get to it. Its a peaceful fish besides pestering the bichir till it stay on the surface.
