Hi All,
I’ve got an Aulonocara Lwanda in my all male tank that I’ve been suspecting is actually a female. Given that she’s currently holding its confirmed! Now I’m trying to figure out what the offspring could be. The majority of the tank is Aulonocara but there are also electric blue and white knights (S. Fryeri), electric yellows (L. caeruleus), red finned kadango (C. borleyi) and Protomelas Chimoto Yellow. Is hydridisation between all of these species possible?
On the upside, this happened without any major aggression. There was a slightly raised activity level that I attributed to the arrival of two new Aulonocara OBs but maybe it was more than that.
Cheers
Craig
