I don't actually see her, my aunt usually just tells me about her big fish. I also didn't want to add some poop-machines to my already-stocked 100G.

I wonder how many poeple actually realize that common pleco's get huge 3' -4'

yes, but theres only one common, the other is what i beleive is a hybrid

Yikes on that power strip below the tank...looks like some plugs may be going directly straight into it. Drips would be no good! Hell i don't even leave power strips facing upwards due to splashing.

Nice plecs tho

I just confiscated a 55 gal tank and it's inhabitants last week. It had 2 13" oscars, and a 20" pleco. I have the tank, but didn't put the fish back in. They are in my very stocked 350 gal with 3 other oscars. Looks like their backs have been deformed due to growing up in that small tank. The lady actually cleaned the tank quit often and had good filtration on it, but the fish have "S" shaped spines when viewed from above. When I put them in the 350 pond they swam in a rectangle for about 5 mins before they realized they could swim in all directions. They are now very active, and out eat all my other oscars. I currently have 5 oscars, and one jag cichlid from rescues. All from 20-55 gal tanks that the owners never thought the fish would outgrow. The two oscars and pleco are 13 years old from what the woman told me. They are completely healthy other than crooked spines. That's more than I can say for the other oscars I have rescued. Some can't even be acclimated to a tank that's actually cleaned once per week. Their bodies have so much toxins built up when I get them that albinos are greenish colored. I've lost both albinos I rescued within 2 weeks. They both had hith down to the skull and even through their entire bodies. Good luck trying to convince them. I usually just end up convincing them to give them to me. I know where a 14" oscar in a 55 is that I'm after next.
