Aussie Bullrout Pics

Great fish! Never seen one for sale here in the states, least not in my region. We semi-frequently get shipments of a cousin, though, Vespicula depressifrons. It gets marketed as a butterfly "goby". They look similar to a bullroat, but I've never had one get larger than about 3 1/2 inches (app. 8 cm). These little guys are definitely brackish and I've never been able to get them to eat anything but feeder guppies and gammarus.

the bullrout only eat live food , as they are an ambush predator, not a scavenger.

That's mad i've been looking for bullrouts since i first found out about them. I also wouldn't mind setting up a Native Saltwater Scorpion fish tank. Coz i've caught red rock cod and i caught a Fortesque scorpion fish in jars and if i had a marine tank at the time I'd still have em.
