Aussie gar/ freshwater longtom

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
tail to head...When we go hit the lake for em I will keep an eye out for bigger specimens and get some pics for you. I think Shannon gets his from someone up here so likely the same population, will give you an idea of what to expect from it.

Thanks mate at the moment live fish only trying to get him on him on white bait and prawns. I might be interesed in some lager ones if you hear of any up for sale or any thing let me know.

No worries, Bob is still trying to wrangle that jar off shannon so might send him some fish as part exchange and could probably shoot some longtom down with for you. Fish are thin on atm with winter, even up here it is unusually cold, not much around.

I rekon he might have his work cut out for him, shannons got the jar being hand feed. Spoke with him the other day, he seems preety happy with it. Yeah if you do come arcoss larger ones, me mate are even keen for a road trip. Did my self a DIY transport and camping tank. For tansporting and keeping bait alive while on fishing trips down the coast

Sounds good, let us know if you are ever up this way, can organise some time off work and take you to some good spots for collecting. Bob has a proper transport tank he throws on the back of his ute for collecting, handy thing to have to long trips or with touchy fish. 400litres though, takes a bit of filling with buckets if the water pump isn't working!

2 x 1500 litres is handy and if they breathe air you fit quite a few in.

It's a Lungy, when the dam overflows hundreds of them go over the wall, provide a free taxi service to take them back lol
Some of them have made the trip a few times :D
