Could do with a bit more deco to be honest. Some taller driftwood and some longer plants like val would do nicely.

I sold all my drift wood and plants, cause I want free swimming space for my little natives to grow in. I should have painted the back black though. Too late now its up against the wall.

Move it forward during a water change and spray paint the back. Easy.

Isn't it a little dangerous using spray paint - just in case of over spray?

It's only dangerous if you get paint inside the tank. Just chuck some newspaper over the top and and spray it. Or if you are really careful you can use some aquarium safe black paint, called krylon fusion. You will have to ship in your own as I don't know of any Australian suppliers of this paint.

use a waterproof acrylic paint and a roller, don't use spraypaint. Do one coat, give it a bit to dry then a second coat. Nice solid black and no overspray. Did a mates tank the other day, took all of 10 minutes. Just give the back a good wipe down with metho or the like to remove anything that will stop the paint sticking.
