Been offered a rare chance to own one. It’s arriving very small, around 3-4” one of the captive breed ones I believe. I’ve always fancied one and it may be a first for my country.

My knowledge is very little on them, what would be the basic diet for a small specimen.

Thanks.

Start with algea wafers and mizuri(?) pellets if that doesn't work try meatier things like mussels

Definitely be a captive bred one or else illegal to own. I can’t imagine they’d be smuggled out of the country but ya never know.

Update?

I believe one of our vendors is working with a farm and has imported a few :D

AUL is pretty hardy like other lungs. I recommend keeping it in a small fish nursery box when small they will find food easier. They will take black worms, broken carnivore pellets

Wonder how much they are nowadays. They used to be $500 USD, but that’s a decade or so ago.

Yep I remember that,a long gone vendor who was based in New York was bringing them in at that price.I should have jumped on one back then as they are at least twice that amount now.
