Right lol only time ive seen one for sale is bluegrass aquatics and it was already sold out I think it was 1200

Sent from my XT1080 using MonsterAquariaNetwork App

Will a few years ago there was a vendor on MFK by the name H20 Aquatics who dealt mostly in rays but he brought in a bunch of baby AULs for about five hundred dollars each...not sure if you've heard if him but he was somewhere in New York.

Good link,and good save.

For it to be legal it has to be microchipped and yes USFW does care about the sales once it is in the country and a illegal fish can still get you fined or jailed. Also the only legal lungfish are chipped so it would be an open shut case that you bought an illegal fish. I would report this guy to USFW office.

Can you cite the particular US legislation for your statement. The australian government's Department of Environment and Heritage is the agency requiring passive internal transponders (PIT tags) and DNA testing for export approval of aussie lungfish.
The group order my 2 LF came in with were never checked for chips. In fact, only 1 of 5 shipping containers was opened to visually verify the contents. The other 4 boxes were never opened by customs since the accompanying paperwork was all in order.

From the Ceratodus website:

All our lungfish juveniles are microchipped using passive internal transponder (PIT) tags, and DNA tested, for identification purposes. These are some of the many requirements by the Department of Environment and Heritage for export approval.

The odd one has spoken, now, pass the popcorn.....

They live so long, there could be many fish here that are older than laws that require anything. I would be curious where fishboy got that information.
