That is a great looking lungfish.

Depending on your set-up, yours may rest behind a log for most of the day even as an adult, and only be active when it wants to/is hungry. Mine is around 22" and still likes napping most of the day, then coming out at feeding and swimming up and down at night.

Has the AUL started feeding? They are very shy and poor hunters when young. Best to partition him away frm any competition first and to make sure it is feeding b4 letting it join the rest.
Btwn, get ready to upgrade your filter and tank soon, cos once they start eating, their growth rate can be quite fast, reachin 18inch -2ft in a year is highly possible. And with that, their bioload is

Just like anything else if it wont fit in it's mouth then it will be fine. As far as the discus picking at the lung, I don't think that will be a problem at all. The lung is very armored and discus are mellow cichlids. Should be a good fit.

Awesome fish! I hope that some day I would be able to house one of these monster oddballs. Definitely my favorite lungfish by far.

They are very difficult to find, keep poking around here, every once in a while one is for sale.
