I doubt it. the amount we were pulling out of this creek was outrages. that was some 7 years ago, however.
 
Tandanus are common as hell up north. Big suckers too, easy over 2 ft. Last time I was up there saw big schools of babies haning out in the tree roots. Don't think they are anywhere near being threatened.
 
maybe more south they're having some problems, we were getting these from kilcoy.
 
Yeh I caught a 2 footer in a creek in yandina. I read somewhere that they were threatened because of carp infestation.
