i live in so cal,in the OC ,LA area and was wondering can the water dragon
live outside in a nice sized screened,or all wooden enclousre year around?

thanks

i don think it would be a problem but it all depends on how fast and random the temp changes there are

weather changes not bad,she will have a large lay box, and top soil as gravvel so she can dick about 4 - 8 inchs deep if she would like, plenty of branches fake plants, for shading and basking areas?

just think i would have to bring her inside when its raiing:?

why dont you think a water dragon would like the rain? i mean it is a water dragon.

yeah i know but 2 - 3 days rain off and on,shes not a chiness water dragon but is a australian which they have less water then the chiness, ..???

Itll be fine, the rain wont be an issue if you let the water irrigate through the bottom. Id give it about 12 inches for better thermoregulation in the substrate, more if you can. And build the cage like an aviary, its the best way to go to prevent escapes and to let the water from the rain drain.

yeah i waslooking to buying an aviary that is 7 feet tall by 6 feet long by 2 - 3 feet deep, for 70 bucks :)

and i was just gonna add the steel roof part for water wont fall from the top just draid down the back, and i was gonna add wood panels to the bottow sides all around this way i can build up the top soil so she can dig deep, thanks :-)

just make sure its strong enough to hold him in. make sure you find every spot that he could escape out of. and make sure that you give him areas to get in the shade and you might have to run a heat source out there for when it gets a little cold.

how big is the AWD currently?

shes about 22 - 23 inches, shes big but not plumped up yett..
