Ive always had 2 air stone i change one of the airstone for a sponge filter just to test it out. The problem was identified as my turtle stirring up the sand bed and that cause the bacteria to escape and get release in the the water like air bubbles was coming up. So i did a water change and will keep doing so until the parameters are safe. Anything else i can do. Thanks for the help and insight im new to monterfish keeping

I had a feeling it could be the water condition , keep up with your water changes , I do either two 25% changes or one 50% per week (that's minimal amount you need to do with all those aros IMO )

Thanks for the help and will do. Also is it normal to see skin peeling on my jardini mouth where the barbels is

sometimes they run into the tank due to stress from what ever the causes (exp: bullying or fighting) which leads to inflicting self harm causing that to happen
but i'm not 100% as to the reasons; jmo.

He's probably just snagged it on something , clean water , oxygen it'll clear up fine
