Sorry lil neet, don't mean to rain on your parade here, but to add to your Yabbie tank mate advise: My Aussie cousin has a few Yabbies that he's had to put in a seperate tank (they were originally a Christmas dinner but his wife couldn't bare to cook them) as they can be easy food for other tank mates: For example they'd just be dessimated by his slightly smaller Rift Valley Cichlids (despite the claws!) They do however live happily with much smaller mid-level dwelling fish.

I Spent a month living in his boy's rec room with these mesmerising animals in a tank next to my bed (I didn't get much sleep!) and wish you were here in the UK so i could buy them! They get some amazing colours, here's an unfortunatly blurry pic of 1.

No need to worry about your replies .I know they can be food to many fish .They do good with large barbs and silver dollars stuff like that but toothed mates would be alot more dangerous .
Just like many ways crayfish so if anybody has kept crays with fish follow the same guide lines.I have found though the crays are rougher on tankmates.
