That's one way to look at it. You are also missing 90% of the work to;). You get the joy of knowing your little fish are getting spread across the US and you don't even have to mess with growing them out and the constant water changes and feedings.

They are in an unheated tank, so probably about 72-76F.

that is sweet. I have 3 left from jeff rapps that im waiting for them to pair off. I had four but they killed it. How big do they have to be when they pair off? Mine our 2". I think i might have a male, he his a lot bigger then the other two. I can't wait. they seem like kind of slow growers.
