Toddnbecka are a breeder of Oblongum and I believe live in Maryland. You could probably pick some up at a monthly CCA (Capital Cichlid Association)meeting

My breeding Oblongum pair are fine in a 36" 46g tank with other tank mates and barely care about them. Oblongum can withstand same temps as Ceibals IME.

Jworth has a breeding pair of Red Ceibals in his 6' tank and they use 4' of tank and seem alot more aggresive t othrt tankmates and keep them pinned in the corner.

not to argue with you bill, but i found when i put my male oblongum in my 46g with a few other fish, he is pretty aggressive. my girlfriend put kribs in the tank, and he killed them over night and actually ate a good chunk of them. I saw bite marks on my dimerus, when i added the female from the hospital tank, he wouldn't stop picking on her and everyone else. Maybe i just have a very aggressive male. The female and other smaller one are peaceful, but not the male. My male oblongum is in my 125 community, and he was holding his own and actually challenging my most aggressive fish in the tank.

You could do red ceibals or oblongums, they both are very sweet. I wouldn't be able to choose between them.
