auto drip?

Do you use external or submersible pumps t1? My 4300 gph reeflo which is the main pump doesn't make much heat at all I kind of wish it did lol.

My heaters only work when the temp drops way below 30F for a while which is like half the year in MI lol

I am going to try coiling a large piece of tubing in my sump next winter to see if I can bring the water to temp before it drips in to the tank if that makes any sense

My pumps are in the sump they are big and in a small part of the sump 30x9

If you take them out of water they get hot fast

the carbon should remove it

NO.

You'll need to go with the refillable carbon cartridges from "the filter guys" and thier fancy granulated carbon. This is approved for use with cloramine.

I would NOT trust those cheapy filters for chloramines...... Now if you had ONLY chlorine you'd be fine.

Might want to shoot Pharoh a PM. I know he uses them and has Chloramine.

You'll be able to use the cartridge holders, just not the actual cartidges.

I've heard of people using sediment filters before the carbon blocks to prolong the life of the carbon filter since the mechanical part of the filter plugs before the chemical part is exhausted. However, IF I was you, I'd be contacting "the filter guys" since you'll need thier cartridges and build your system according to them.

Yes, you need something specific to chloramine.

A discus breeder and importer told me thatbif would know if I had chloramine in my water as my rays would be dead...not sure if this is true.

the ones i use are gran cartriges not blocks

Im exited to have a drip system. Especially as I plan for a 500 gal system! I still don't understand how to automatically treat the incoming water that I'll have come out of the sink plumbing. Ro??

You need in line filters! Not RO. Have a look at this and you will have pictures and info. Similar devices are avail in USA. I added a capillary flow restrictor as you need high pressure in but I wanted low output.
