I've always fed my fish if I went away..well someone else lol. Never had a big problem but always came back to more algea or something. One week gone by with me not the algea swing though. No one will be around to feed them either so I'm try my luck at no feeding. Def appreciate the tips. Still a bit nervous of 7-8 days of no attention but ive read what you all have said about they should be fine. Feel like I'm gonna be worried about them like If they were my kids lol

When we go out of town we leave sandwich bags with food on top of each tank. The person tasked with feeding just dumps the bag in the tank mid-way through the trip or one bag per feeding... whatever the arrangement is. Some tanks have feeding bags, other do not, based on the tank and fish.
