I used the exact carbon cartridges from the filter guyz and 1 micron sediment, THEN I still use my minidos for the freshwater drip. I talked to one of the filter guys, and he swore up and down that their carbon can remove all traces of chloramines, but I refuse to rely on a single person's opinion. I simply have way too much to lose.
It's a good insurance to have....in case of excessive amount of chloramines compliment of the city.
Spend the money, you have too much too lose out of someone else's (city's water) mistake.
