Does anyone know where I can find treads (on MFK or anywhere else) or links of Fish Tanks that have been set-up with an automated water changing system?
I have the idea of building an aquarium that will change its own water. It will drain and fill up the aquarium on its own.
Any ideas or help links would be highly appreciated.

I thought you did a great job on that project.
But I want it to be automated you know with sensors to stop a pump and a over flow system that closes it self.
A tank that will require no help from me- no help at all none what so ever.

That system only requires me to change prefilters once every couple of months. IMO it's a lot more reliable than the alternative. Look through the thread and we cover all sorts of solenoid valves/controllers.

Just remember...The more complex you make a system the more complex it has to be.

This will get expensive, what kind of budget are we talking here?

What is your skill level in electronics, mechanics, & plumbing?

What size of tank?

What kind of filter?

What's the quality of your tap water?

What kind of fish do you want to keep?

Well that's a start anyhow :D,

I've only seen one simpler than Rallys... I prefer Rallys :)

As of right now I have no set budget.
Today I will be buying a 20 gallon tank as a miniature model. If it turns out a success I will start on setting up my bigger tanks with confidents. The reason I’m doing this is to spend less time being mind numbing board around the house.
My skill levels are

Electronics skills NONE
Mechanics skills NONE :1zhelp:
Plumbing skills NONE :tropicalf
Blowhunting skills NONE :shakehead
Computer hacker skills NONE :smurf
Ninja Skills NONE :mrsatan:
