Actually to correct Dr. Joe... The more Complex you make it ... the more likly something is to go wrong ... I think I simplified your satement DR :grinyes:

Use a simple drip system and be done with it

No, you changed my statement.:swear: :D

"Just remember...The more complex you make a system the more complex it has to be."

The second half of the statement refers to the complexity of the system to correct itself automatically.

Totally different.

As of right now I have no set budget. Today I will be buying a 20 gallon tank as a miniature model. If it turns out a success I will start on setting up my bigger tanks with confidents. The reason I’m doing this is to spend less time being mind numbing board around the house. My skill levels are Electronics skills NONE  Mechanics skills NONE :1zhelp: Plumbing skills NONE :tropicalf Blowhunting skills NONE :shakehead Computer hacker skills NONE :smurf Ninja Skills NONE :mrsatan:

Ok, Mind numbingly bored, and NO skills what so ever (not even with the help of the FORCE?). :grinno:

On the plus side you found us and have an unlimited budget...

How do you want to start?

(I do suggest re-reading
rallysman's thread, Neoprodigy's and there's another one too, first)

Here is my Rube Goldberg design.

I didn't build one of these but someone else did. I am using several like Rallysman's. Keeping it simple means fewer things can go wrong.

Post your thoughts and maybe a drawing of your design so we can review your system.

Thank you for the post!!! :)
It was very enlightening and it gives me some great ideas. I bought the experimental tank. Now I need to get my scheme on paper.

The less time you spend with your tanks in a hands on manor...the less reaction time you have in case of an emergancy and in my humble opinion...the less enjoyment your going to get out of your hobby. Automated testing IS possible I guess but you still need to make the decisions about how to make any needed corrections.

Don't get me wrong here...I'm all for making life easier but if you want it THAT hands off then purchase an aquarium program for your computer and just WATCH it.

:ROFL::ROFL: Sorry, but I just flashed on a room with 30 different sized monitors on racks all running aquarium programs :ROFL:.

Kind of a Max Headroom sort of thing.
