your stand is 100% safe from my carpentry experience it is def. not going anywhere, notice how the ends off the legs butt up completly square to another 2x4 just below the tank, its def not moving anywhere. but back on topic that water change system looks brilliant i was thinking of doing something similar to my 225 that im almost done building, and how does the mag 5 move water? i got a mag 1200 for christmas and im not too sure if its going to move enough water for me in my 225
