Hi everyone,
So I take it these guys are hard to find...at least in my area! And I heard they can be pricey...about how much would a specimen 5-6 in cost? And is there any that anyone knows about in the tri-state area?
Thanks all!

it is? the pics look the same from research that I've done between fasciatum and tigrinum-
can someone explain the difference?
and thanks shamrock...but anyone closer know where to get one of these bad boys? :D

it is almost impossible to tell you simply by the markings the diference. The only way you can know for sure is to know where the fish was collected and to look at the skeleton. However P. fasciatum/tigrinum are not rare at all, but very common. In my area you can get 6-7" for free generally because people are trying to get rid of them. Or i see this size in shops for 30 or 40". 2-3" go for 12 or so bucks in my area.
