average growth rate of chocolate/severum

in the long run, i am thinking of 1 severum, 1 chocolate, 1 firemouth ( got a firemouth with my africans right now, about the same size as the chocolate/severums, and he gets along great with the africans ) so would a 75 be big enough for one severum, one chocolate, one firemouth?

Severum are generally pretty calm for a large cichlid. Not 100% sure about chocolates, but I hear they are also pretty mellow. A firemouth would probably be okay to add to a 75 (though I would recommend a 90+). You would definitely want watch for aggression and either upgrade or rehome someone if things get too rough. Also try to get them all around the same size and grow them out together (the firemouth should start just a bit smaller than the other two as they do grow a little faster). Fish tend to display less aggression to other fish they know and have interacted for long periods of time.

so if mine are a quarter size now, how long before i should transfer them to a 55? or at what size?

I moved my severums from their 20 high to their current 55 setup when they were about 2" each.

well got all right now ( firemouth being with my africans, and doing great atm, but hes not staying there ) the firemouth is a tad bit bigger. in about two months i will get them a 55 to go to, then 8 months a 75. think that should work?

I moved my severums from their 20 high to their current 55 setup when they were about 2" each.

Yeah I assume they are, I do a weekly 50% water change and I feed them once when I wake up and once before I go to bed. Feed them blood worms,tetra veggie pellets, and omega one. Both have very healthy color and are built well they are just small. The 7-10" ones in my 220 never stop growing, bigger and beefier every day. I guess that's what I get for buying the runts from the LFS.

Your system is almost the exact same as mine. We feed the exact same food items at the same times of day. Only difference is water change schedule, but that really works out to be pretty much the same too.

That will work. Really I personally would hold out just a bit long and go directly to the 75. the severum and chocolate should be okay for the next three months if it is just the two f them in the 20. Just make sure its heavily planted/decorated with lots of places to hide. How long is the firemouth?

lol, bare tank atm. they are in with 7 cherry barbs and three blind cave fish ( paid 2.00 for 3 blind cave fish from petco, they were brought in from someone, so the 2.00 would go to the humane shelter they told me. ) so far all gets along great! they come out and feed in front of me, which is good.
