Wow, I feel bad for the folks who say that's a good price... find some other peeps in Idaho to give yourself a good price gauge before buying it.

Here in SoCal, I wouldn't pay more than $20 for a quality 1" juvi...

You wouldn't pay more then $20 for a 1" juvi? Every LFS in the SanFernando Valley sells 1" EBJD for $40-$50 and around $80 for "2 inch or so juvies. As of last week, these were the average prices in my neck of the woods. I doubt they differ much if you look in the city of LA. As a matter of fact, they are likely to be more expensive.

I'll post pics of my 4-5" male BD that I picked up for $20 as a 1" juvi from my buddy Steve that owns a petshop in long beach. He get's nice stock once in a while.

He sells all the basics with the rare stuff in between i.e. BD's, Gymnotus pedanopterus, wild discus, nice FH (he currently has a gold and red one I want), etc... Sometimes I'm surprised by the stuff he gets in... stuff you need to keep on the low if you know what I mean. If you're ever in town, stop by and say Sergio sent you; his store is off the 91 freeway on long beach blvd.

Another store in West Covina area has 2" juvies for $24 once in a while.

HERE comes the latest Fad :) P-bass are now leaving the building to make room for BLUE DEMPSEYS .... Do ya see it...

Of course the bass will still hold much interest like the DATS when the pbass came just will be next on the charts to the new fish of the month :)

And They are 39.99 at our lfs for 2.5"

Oh...yeah. You had to mention DATS. That will be next year's project for me if I have my way. I've seen some real beauties in the gallery here, too.
