AVOID this seller for a 250 gallon fish tank - (Pasadena? Temple City?)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Q: Hello. Any chance you allow "viewing" in person? Due to the size of it, I'd like to see the set-ups before bidding. If OK, please provide me your address or a phone number to call you direct. Please let me know...
A: Where are you located? If not too far possibly you could take a look at it
This is very sketchy to me and would have turned me away. Somebody wanted to look at it and the seller said "possibly", depending on "where they are located."

That logic makes no sense. If someone wants to drive six hours to look at your tank, what does it matter?

Seems like a weirdo. :screwy:

It's cool, glad you found yerself a nice big tank. I've been having Craigslist headaches myself, and wait till' you hear about Aquabid. On the plus side I did just found someone who wants my extra couch on Craigslist.

That sucks but at least you did not loose any money.

did you check craigslist.org? i'm also in Granada Hills and i've been finding great deals on 150+ gallon tanks lately.

I put a ad on craigslist stating that I need some glass for a DIY aquarium. Then some guy emails me that he has a 150 gallon tall that I can have because he was going to just break it up and throw it away. It was a really good pickup and I was pretty excited about it. I talked to him on the phone 3 times and told him I would call him on the weekend to come and pick it up, then all of the sudden he won't answer my calls or return them. I didn't lose anything on the deal, but it still sucks. My guess was that he saw how much 150's were going for and decided to keep it. So yeah I feel your pain.
