Awesome fiddler Crab!!!!

Seal that tank up or he will be crawling to a different place and wont be found until you are able to follow the smell
 
My crab has been escaping almost daily, even out of the smallest holes. I found him about 20 feet from the tank yesterday. Surprisingly, they can scatter like crazy on carpet!!! I covered every exit point of my tank with cardboard and taped to the top to prevent future adventures. The stange thing is he has 4 large spots on the surface of the water to chill on. Poor guy lost his big arm yesterday on his way out of the tank too

i have one male, one female. they have mated twice now but it's not a suitable habitat to successfully breed.

i also have a female red claw crab.

she tryed to mate with the fiddler :eek:
 
i always say im going to get into those crabs but never end up going ith it. i think about the proper set up but all my tanks are stocked and i cant lower the levl of them :( one day...one day... cute litte guy :)
 
they all escaped a long time ago. i found one in my guppy tank too... he was harassing them lol. i found all three of them once at the top of the same plant fighting over food i put in. they would just chill at the top of the plant all day. then they were gone :(

whats a crabs mating dance? is it where they move their claw back and forth? cuz my crab did that for weeks before he escaped lol
