Many tanks are packed with fish like sardine that remind me typical fish store practices in Asia. Yet with strong circulation from power head from apparently UGF, fish look healthy to me.
Yeah I agree with you. But most of these fish are sold just within a week, besides the larger and expensive ones. The shopkeepers are masters of housing numerous fish in small tanks. BTW did you watch the tank at the end.
That's a strange set up. Usually shop tanks like that all in racks are all rigged up to a single filtration unit, so the parameters are identical in every tank.
However, those racks are a mish mash of tropical, cold water and rift lake fish, which all require different parameters!!

Every tank is secluded fron each other, with a different filter and different water. Maybe this concept is different in USA and Europe, but very common in Asia and gulf countries. As for the temperature, all of them are kept in a temp between 22 to 28 degree celsius, which might not be ideal for some cold water fish, but I have seen it working.
