For those of you who are not too cheap to buy a rock, here is an example of shipping costs:

Shipping is less that you might think. To ship a 50 pound rock from Plano, Texas to Chicago, Il via UPS ground, it is only about $38.00

If you find several folks and pitch in on a volume order, the price winds up very reasonable.

Ideas.....$100 for a piece of rock after shipping would buy a decent fish. You'de be looking at like $300 to do an average size tank.... Don't get me wrong not by any means saying it isn't worth it...I'm sure it is.... But to a lot of people on this site it's fresh water monsters with monster filtration.... Heck a lot of tanks on here are bare bottom. Might have better luck on some of the sites that cater to the salty side of fishkeeping.... If it wasn't so much I'de deck out my moray tank in this stuff in a heart beat......But for the money it would cost I can get another fancy moray......hhhmmm decisions..lol
 
Thanks for the feedback. As for pickup, yes, of course, come on down. For the best selection, you would need to come to my house but if you like, I could load some up and meet you somewhere to same you some driving.
 
Again, thanks for the feedback. You mention 100 bucks for a rock, please keep in mind that's a primo large rock weighing like 80 pounds. For 100 bucks, you can get a lot of rock, if you choose other options. Another thing to keep in mind, an awesome $100 rock in a large tank will really set it off and add the WOW factor. Just a thought.
